Goals for a craft session
Aim for one skill and one piece. The skill might be cutting a curved line, folding accurately or joining two materials. The piece should be small enough to finish in the time, so children leave with something complete.
Encourage planning. A quick sketch before cutting helps children think about size and order, and it gives you something to talk about if they get stuck.

Origami Animals

Stitch and Embroidery

Students learn running, back, chain and cross stitch, study embroidery traditions, and design and stitch a motif on fabric in a hoop.

Sustainable Craft Design
High School · Ages 15–18
Advanced · 75 min
Students analyse the life cycle of everyday products, write a design brief, and prototype a crafted product from reclaimed materials, justifying their sustainable choices.
