Goals for the session

Children should leave knowing one technique point for each event, a personal score they can try to beat next time, and the habit of warming up before effort.

Frame every activity as 'you against your last try'. Record personal scores on a simple card each child keeps, rather than a public leader board.

Run, Jump, Throw

Primary · Ages 7–10

Foundation · 60 min

Pupils rotate through sprinting, jumping and throwing stations, learn one technique tip for each, measure their results and try to beat their personal bests.

Developing · 60 min

Pupils explore balances on large and small body parts, travel and rolls, and link them into a short gymnastics sequence performed with control and good body shape.

Intermediate · 60 min

Students test reaction time, learn the crouch start, analyse acceleration with timing gates or stopwatches, and explain the science behind a fast start.

Middle School · Ages 12–14

Intermediate · 60 min

Students learn clears, drops and net shots, practise returning to base, and use shot combinations to move an opponent around the court in singles games.

Biomechanics of Technique

High School · Ages 15–18

Advanced · 75 min

Students apply Newton’s laws, levers and projectile motion to athletic techniques, film and analyse movements, and propose evidence-based technique changes.
