What the workshop aims to do
Keep the goals small and visible. By the end of a session, each child should have tried one new technique, made at least one decision about their own work, and talked briefly about what they made.
Process matters more than a polished result. A page of mixed colour swatches with notes is a real outcome, and it is often more useful than a finished picture copied from an example.

Colour Mixing Lab
Primary · Ages 7–10
Foundation · 60 min
Pupils mix primary colours to discover secondary and tertiary colours, build their own colour wheel and use warm and cool colours in a small painting.

Texture Hunters
Primary · Ages 8–11
Developing · 60 min
Pupils hunt for textures indoors and outdoors, record them with crayon rubbings, describe them with rich words and cut them into a textured collage.

One-Point Perspective
Middle School · Ages 11–14
Intermediate · 60 min
Students discover horizon lines and vanishing points in photos, then use one-point perspective to draw a street or corridor that recedes into the distance.

Portrait Proportions
Middle School · Ages 12–14
Intermediate · 60 min
Students measure real faces with a pencil, learn classic facial proportion guidelines and draw a portrait of a partner, then compare guidelines with real variation.

Composition and Critique
High School · Ages 15–18
Advanced · 75 min
Students analyse artworks using the elements and principles of design and a structured critique model, then plan and critique their own compositions.
